Colombo Plan scholarship for veterinary studies at Glasgow University.
1974 - 77. Singapore Armed Forces Infantry Officer, Provost Guard Dog
Unit platoon commander & veterinary officer of guard & tracker dogs
(National Service full time).
1977 - 82. Agri-Food
& Veterinary Authority pig and chicken veterinarian in the Primary
Production Department's veterinary extension, research & veterinary
laboratory service to farmers.
1982 - 90.
Singapore Turf Club thoroughbred racehorse veterinary surgeon with
the perquisite of private practice at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club &
Singapore Polo Club. The Turf Club was a private club till 1988 when
it was acquired by the Singapore Totalisator Board and renamed Bukit
Turf Club. It is now Singapore Turf Club.
Mar 2003 - 2007. Extension work to the dog and cat breeders, boarding kennels and pet shops
in Singapore.
Extension Work: Vaccination of puppies at pet shops and
attention to breeders' veterinary problems at the breeding kennels
take up a lot of time. Caesarian Sections for breeders.
This means that prior appointment to consult Dr Sing is very important
as he may not be available for walk-in pet owners.

VETERINARY SURGERY
All surgeries are
performed at the Toa Payoh Vets surgery room, by Dr Sing Kong Yuen.
Pet owners will be informed early if surgeries are done by other
veterinary surgeons
or by the attending veterinary surgeon. Surgeries take
